About RBA

The Rwanda Bankers Association (RBA) is the umbrella organization representing the banking sector in Rwanda. It was established to promote cooperation among banks, support the development of a sound and inclusive financial system, and advocate for the interests of member institutions. The association works closely with key stakeholders, including the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR), government institutions, and development partners to strengthen the banking industry, promote best practices in areas such as governance, compliance, and sustainability, and enhance financial literacy. Through training programs, policy dialogue, and industry initiatives, RBA plays an important role in advancing the growth and stability of Rwanda’s financial sector.
